Product Tours
Product tours that live in your announcement widget
AnnounceKit Product Tours let SaaS teams build in-app onboarding tours, checklists, and announcements from one platform. Add modal, pointer, and hotspot steps, target them by segment and page, measure completion and goals - all in the same widget that already ships your changelog and feature requests. One script for the whole announcement layer.
$69/mo ($55 billed annually) · 10,000 MAU included · Never per seat · Trusted by 2,000+ teams

What can a tour step be?
A self-contained walkthrough uses three step types. Mix them in a single tour and reorder them by dragging in the steps rail.
Modal
A centred card that isn't tied to any element - the right choice for a welcome step, a summary, or a step that introduces the tour before you point at anything.
Pointer
Anchored to a specific button, menu, or field on your page and drawn with the visual builder on your own site. Use it to say "click here" exactly where the user needs to look.
Hotspot
Anchored like a pointer, but it opens on click - a subtle dot that waits for the user, so power users skip it and new users get help only when they ask.

Onboarding checklists
Onboarding shouldn't end on day one
A checklist keeps activation moving after the first session. Add items that each do one thing when clicked - launch a tour or open a link - and complete in the way that actually proves the work is done.
- Complete an item when its tour is finished
- Complete on click, for a simple "got it" step
- Complete when the user reaches a URL you specify
- Complete when your app fires an event you name
It rides on the same floating pill and the same theme as your tours, so onboarding, checklists, and announcements feel like one product - because they are.

Targeting
Show the right tour to the right user, on the right page
Every tour answers three questions. It starts automatically when its targeting matches, or on a trigger you choose. It shows to the segments you pick - plan, role, country, language, or any user attribute you pass. And it starts only where your page rules match.
- Segment by any user attribute you send to the widget
- Page rules: path starts-with, exact, contains, ends-with, or regex
- Frequency: once per user, until completed, or every time it matches
- Merge tags drop the user's own name or attributes into step copy

Goals & analytics
Measure adoption, not just completion
The Results tab shows how many users started, your completion rate, the median time to finish, and exactly where people drop off, step by step. Then set a goal - a URL reached or an event fired within a window of days - to see whether the tour changed behaviour, not just whether people clicked "Next".
- Started, completed, skipped, and stuck counts per version
- Step-by-step drop-off funnel
- URL or event goals with a conversion window
- A per-user list of who saw and who finished

Theming, languages & API
Looks like your product. Works with your stack.
One theme designer styles every tour and checklist - start from a template, set your primary colour, corners, and shadow, and preview a light or dark step instantly. Tours and checklists are multi-language out of the box, and a JavaScript API lets you start a tour, mark a step, or react to events from your own code.
- Templates plus full colour, corner, and shadow control
- Multi-language tours and checklists
- JavaScript API for programmatic control
- Runs with any AnnounceKit widget or a standalone snippet
Published pricing. No seats, no tiers to climb.

Frequently asked questions
What is product tour software?
Product tour software guides logged-in users through your app with in-app steps - modals, pointers anchored to a button or menu, and clickable hotspots - so people learn a feature without reading docs or opening a ticket. AnnounceKit adds onboarding checklists, a changelog, and feature requests in the same widget, so onboarding, adoption, and announcements run from one script instead of three tools.
Do product tours work without a developer?
Yes. Once the AnnounceKit widget or a standalone snippet is on your app, you build and edit tours from the dashboard - add modal, pointer, or hotspot steps, point at elements on your own site with the visual builder, set segment and page rules, and publish. No code change is needed to launch, edit, or stop a tour.
Do I need a separate onboarding tool if I already use AnnounceKit?
No. Product Tours are part of AnnounceKit. The same widget that shows your changelog and collects feature requests also runs your onboarding tours and checklists, targeted to the same segments. You do not add a second script or a second vendor.
How is AnnounceKit priced for tours?
Product Tours are $69/month, or $55/month billed annually, and never billed per seat. Each workspace includes 10,000 monthly active users; beyond that it is $25 per additional 5,000 MAU, with no hard cutoff. Most mainstream onboarding tools meter monthly active users and start at $174-$299/month as of September 2026.
What can I target a tour by?
Target by audience segment (plan, role, country, language, or any user attribute you pass) and by page rules (path starts-with, exact, contains, ends-with, or regex). Choose whether a tour starts automatically or on a trigger, and set frequency to once per user, until completed, or every time it matches.
Can I measure whether a tour works?
Yes. Each tour has a Results tab with started count, completion rate, median time to complete, and a step-by-step drop-off funnel. Set a goal - a URL reached or an event fired within a window of days - to measure conversion, not just completion.
Does AnnounceKit support tours in more than one language?
Yes. Tours and checklists are multi-language, using the same per-user language the AnnounceKit widget already respects, so a visitor sees onboarding in their own language without a separate build.
